This baby is so cool. I almost kept if for myself, but not being practicle I did the next best thing and offered it to John. What a clown!! My I.J. I got her in a trade from some leos and fat tails in the summer of 2004. She is sweet most times but is shy and a bit hissy at times. Fred was attacked by a sheltie when he was younger. He is feeling much better now but has a hatred for dogs!

You wanna stay out of her way when she has pms. She attacks anything in site. lol What a ham! The babies are kept in small groups in large tubs for the first few weeks and then at 3-4 weeks old they are housed individually to make sure there are no accidents amoung them. some of the babies will actually jump in the water when they are going to shed, others have to be told to take a bath. Hmm, just like kids. lol one of the babies coming out to eat.

Gotta love those babies!! this is one of my favorite baby pictures, and to get a tongue flick too, how sweet!! Here is a picture of above to show how they are all curled up. They must have been so squished in their mom. 15 babies to come out of that one skinks!! I cried when Lani had her babies as she had 2 d.o.a. babies. Here is a picture of one for educational use. You can see it's still in the sack and the umbilical cord and placenta are also visable. This is 2 babies, 1 day old, from th same clutch. Just to show the difference in size. You never know what you are going to get. ;)

Some of my babies were so fiesty they didn't hesitate to try and bit. I let one clamp on, they have quite powerful gaws at that age, I can just imagine the damage a full grown adult can do. Here is one of my first babies at a couple days old. Babies are so cute! But so are adults. lol Lani had 11 beautiful babies. I thought she was done, apparently now, she had 4 more afterwards. The babies are so sweet!! They are so hardy the begin drinking and eating very soon after birth. Lani likes to sleep in her hide most nights. When it's time for bed Peter gets all snuggled and tucked in to bed. So sweet!

Isn't it the greatest! :) Checking out Fred next door. A little tongue action! Peter comes from John a.k.a. PinkTMonkey. He is my sweetest skink! He loves to play peek a boo under his blankie. We counted at least 8 babies and possibly more in a bolbed spot in the exray. Lani actually had 15 babies. Unforunately 2 were born d.o.a. at least 5-6 hours after the first 11 babies. I believe this is the reason they were dead.
