Thank you for considering BlueTongueSkinks.net! Firstly, we would like to make it well known that breeding reptiles is not our actual occupation. We have a small group of blue tongued skinks, and keep and breed them simply for the pure enjoyment! True reptile breeders and pet stores often have many tanks with many animals, and none get personal attention. We currently work with ONE blue tongue skink pair, and they, and their offspring get our sole attention and the utmost of care. Along with your purchase, you are more than welcome to call us anytime with any questions or concerns. The bluetongueskinks.net forum is also open 24 hours. Also, be sure to check out the babies page!
Countdown to our next babies...
Below will be this year's list of babies—each has its own individual picture and description.
We accept PayPal and Money Orders, and shipping is $45.00 Overnight UPS. Baby Irian Jaya are $150.00 + Shipping. Each bluey's health is also evaluated, and listed below along with the date they were born. See bottom of page for health key. Remember, along with your purchase you receive UNLIMITED phone support from us. We usually keep the babies for about 2-3 weeks, or until about their first or second shed. This is to make sure they're healthy, eating well, used to human handling, etc.
Please feel free to email us for the possibility of reserving a youngster! We are very selective who we sell to—this ensures our babies go to responsible and loving homes, and gives us a chance to get to know you. Email: zach@bluetongueskinks.net
The nitty-gritty
• We offer a thirty day health guarantee, and ship to your door only.
• Shipping is $35-45 UPS NextDay to your door.
• SOMEONE MUST BE PRESENT TO ACCEPT THE PACKAGE THE NEXT MORNING.
• PayPal is the preferred form of payment (send to zachg@efn.org), but we also accept credit cards, checks, and money orders. Checks will be held until payment clears.
• I know most people prefer a boy or a girl, but unfortunately it's not possible to determine gender at this young age without putting them at danger (i.e. probing). Probing is not 100% accurate as it is, and you risk seriously damaging the animal.
• Reserving a baby is accepted approximately 30 days pre the actual birth, and we require a deposit in the full payment amount. We're sorry to do this, but must, due to people changing their minds last minute—after the birth, if there are baby blueys left, and after reserved customers get first pic, you are welcome to pick and choose! EVERYONE is allowed to reserve if they wish. Unfortunately, we can never foretell a successful pregnancy, so if there were complications & the babies were not born, simple refunds would be issued.
• First come, first serve. Approximately 30 days prior to the estimated day of birth, pre-orders will be accepted. The first payments received will get to choose first when detailed pictures and personalities/temperaments are posted. Each bluey's health, temperament, and personality are carefully evaluated and posted.
• We only sell to NON-SMOKING homes. It is both unfair, and cruel to force any animal to breathe in second-hand smoke day in, and day out. Our animals require and deserve clean fresh air.
• We ask that if you ever decide to sell your animal, please consult us first as it is possible we may be interested in buying the animal back for a fair price.
• We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual if we feel they are unequipped or incapable of caring for a reptile.

Last year's list
These little guys are only a day old, so it's hard to determine their personalities/temperament quite yet. With these pictures, you can begin to see certain striping characterstics you like, but keep in mind their adult colors will be a world of difference, and much more vibrant. I wanted everybody to be able to see them as young and as small as possible, so you can see them from day one. Currently, ALL BABIES are amazingly tame, and they are listed in absolutely random order. Also, solid or broken banding isn't good or bad, it's simply a matter of preference. We will refer to all babies as 'he'. (Of course, we have no idea).

This little guy was the 3rd born. He was the most excited from the get-go. The second he came out, he tried intimidating everything with an open mouth & blue tongue! He has 3 prominent forks, and we have since refered to him as "Hellboy." You wouldn't know it now though, he's literally as tame as a kitten. He's the darkest colored of the bunch. |

This one was born head first, and completely upside down! 6th born. He is quick, curious, tame as can be, and eating great. This little guy is CRAZY! He's been running around the cage non-stop while the others sleep. He hasn't stopped! VERY VERY alert, and has a white head right now. He favorite activity is burrowing under the others... |

1st born, and plenty fat already. If I were to name a bluey Cool Moe Dee, this would be the one. He's also a little daredevil. I was trying to take pictures of him on the couch, he would back up, then get a running start and just leap off the edge! I had to catch him several times until I just put him back, and got a different baby to photograph. This one also has more white flecking then the others.

Nearly solid banding, but one interesting little 'spot' right in the middle of a band. He was born last at number 7, and took the longest time to come out compared to the others. We didn't even know this one was coming. A little surprise! He is already developing red bands. |

This is the only baby that has a perfect banding. No breaks or forks. Just perfect thick stripes from head to tail. 2nd born. We call him P.B meaning 'perfect banding' of course. We've been calling him 'Peanut Butter!' Click here for a side view of him sitting like a dog. |

5th born, this guy still has his umbilical cord attached! It poses no threat, and will soon snap off on its own. He has come to be known as Jeffrey. :-) He is special! One trait we just noticed last night, is he's the only baby that continually tries to climb straight up. Every time we'd take him down, he'd climb right back up onto our shoulders! His umbilical is off. I can't find it anywhere, so I assume one of the babies ate it. We just noticed that there is a distinct 'XY' on his back. Now that his umbilical cord is off, we use that to know it's him. Pretty cool! |
